LCG Avis – Reliable Broker or Not?

LCG Review: In this LCG review, we will present the LCG Group, with over 20 years of experience. This broker allows trading of 7,000 instruments across 9 asset classes via the MetaTrader 4 and LCG Trader. Regulated by the FCA, CIMA, CySEC, and SCB, the Group is also listed on the London Stock Exchange, allowing it to provide a secure trading environment. Nevertheless, the broker does not appear on the ACPR-AMF's Regafi website. Trading conditions on the Forex markets are attractive thanks to its ECN account, similar to those offered by... Vantage And the fees associated with stock trading are generally similar to other brokers. The educational and training content offering is clearly not very extensive, which could discourage some traders. Let's find out more about this broker in this LCG review.

Can we trust LCG in August?

Before you start trading with a broker, you should always ask yourself if the latter is not a scam, if it is safe and if the trading funds that you are going to deposit with this broker are safe.

Then, it is important to carefully check the authorizations, regulations and regulations that govern the broker in order to know what are the rules that he must respect and what are the protections to which you are entitled in the event of bankruptcy of the broker or disagreement on a particular situation.

To do this, it is important to always use the official website of the LCG broker to be sure not to use another broker unintentionally. Then, you can check the broker authorizations on the broker's home page (usually in the footer at the bottom of the page). Then, you can go to the regulators' sites to confirm that a broker has received regulation and when.
Note – You will find all the information on the authorizations obtained by LCG in the regulation part of the broker and at the bottom of this LCG opinion article.

Scams around the LCG Broker

Scammers and fraudsters constantly seek to use the popularity of regulated and serious companies like LCG. That's why many scammers claim to be from legitimate, regulated companies. That's what happened with theLCG entity regulated by the FCA.

Several companies claimed to be LCG using its Business Reference Number (FRN) and real address to suggest they were genuine:

  • Qtrade – Added to the FCA's Financial Services Register on January 12, 2025
  • London Capital Group (clone) – Added to the FCA FS register on October 27, 2015.
  • Tradignition – Added to the FCA FS register on March 25, 2015.

PS: It is also important to make sure that you are not looking at the offer of a company with a similar or even identical name but not offering quite the same services as is the case with LCG Finance. This LCG review is indeed dedicated to the British broker LCG.

Is LCG an AMF Authorized Broker?

LCG Review: LCG Broker France, Does It Exist? No.
Although we have shown in this LCG notice that the broker has an entity in Cyprus benefiting from a European passport to automatically offer its services in European countries, the register of financial agents (Regafi) – which lists all companies that have obtained authorization to carry out their activities in France from the Prudential Control and Resolution Authority (ACPR) – does not allow the broker LCG to be found.

Additionally, the CySEC page dedicated to the broker London Capital Group does not show France in the countries that are part of the authorized cross-border services to the broker's member states as shown in the image below.

What Protections For Client Funds Using LCG?

LCG Notice – How are investor funds protected? LCG Limited (UK) and LCG (Cyprus) Limited (Cyprus) are members of compensation funds which allow investors to benefit from a potential compensation scheme if the broker goes bankrupt.

So LCG's UK entity is a member of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), meaning you will be automatically compensated if LCG goes bust up to £85 for a traditional trading account or £000 for a joint account.

The CySEC-regulated LCG entity is a member of the Investors Compensation Fund (ICF) in Cyprus. Thus, all individual clients who use this broker by having a registered account there are covered in the event of payment default by LCG (Cyprus) Limited up to €20 per client.
LCG of course keeps customer funds in segregated accounts at leading banks. Thus, your trading funds cannot be used for other expenses than for your trading.
The broker's Cypriot entity offers a debit balance protection which allows retail traders not to owe the broker any money if their account balance falls below zero. Broker LCG believes that clients of the UK entity will soon be able to benefit from this protection as indicated on its website.

The LCG broker also specifies that you could benefit from the services of a financial mediator if you are not satisfied with the way LCG resolved your complaint. You can contact the Financial Ombudsman (FOS) in the UK if you are using the UK entity or the Cyprus FOS if you are using the Cyprus entity.

Stock Market Leverage at LCG

Leverage is a powerful tool for investors because it allows you to amplify market movements to potentially earn more. The level of leverage available at LCG depends on your trading status (individual vs professional), the assets you trade and the LCG entity you trade through.

The maximum leverages offered by theLCG entities in the Bahamas are obviously higher than those offered by the UK or Cyprus entities (as can be seen in the table below), because the regulations are not at all the same.

LCG Trader Platform review by les_tah

One of the best for execution

LCG Trader opinion of m647556765687

It's amazing how much money I lost trying to juggle the buy screen and close positions. Use Cityindex - much better!

Kanishka manoj on LCG Trader

Great app for spread betting - I've been using this app for 5 years and I'm very happy with it.

Marcia£££'s review of LCG's trading platform

There have certainly been improvements since my arrival. Maybe not as easy as another platform I use, as you can't put stops and limits directly on the chart, but you are dealing with much nicer people than you are with other brokers

Slippage and Order Execution on LCG

To provide a high quality of trading, LCG strives to keep the probability of execution of its clients' orders as high as possible by trying to contain the rejection rate (rejection rate) to get it as low as possible.
According to a January 2020 document on the company's Best Execution Policy, less than 0,5% of all orders submitted to LCG are rejected, mostly due to price (un)availability or position size.
In the case of a price not available, we speak of slippage. When the price requested by a trader could not be executed, because it has changed since the order arrived on the platform, or the liquidity in the markets is not sufficient to execute the order with the size of requested position, then the trader experiences slippage.

As the broker explains, “ slippage is the difference between the price executed and the price requested at the time of validation of the order. In the case of market orders, the slippage can be positive (in favor of the clients) or negative (at a lower price) compared to the price observed at the time of the request. ».

Training & Tools Offered by LCG

Just like other more classic stock brokers like BNP, LCL or other banks, online brokers earn money based on transactions made on the online stock exchange or through their establishments. This is why it is important for them to ensure that their clients learn how to properly manage their investment portfolio and that they take advantage of specialized offers.

The LCL bank, for example, offers an "LCL stock market expert" offer with many opinions, BNP offers a "Find out more about the stock market" section on its website and Société Générale offers a section dedicated to how to put money aside to make it fruitful.
It is therefore essential for TraderFrancophone to highlight the importance of training for the brokers we analyze. A good broker should want to educate its traders so that they can improve their trading performance. This is why we continue this LCG reviews with the training and educational tools offered that are most relevant for traders.
1. Economic Calendar

With this tool, the LCG broker allows its traders to stay abreast of news that could influence the markets. There are indeed publications that can lead to significant movements such as growth, inflation or employment figures. There are also all the announcements relating to central bank decisions.

2. Market News (not available in French)

Every day, LCG analysts analyze economic, political and financial news that has consequences on global financial markets. This is aboutvantage of fundamental analysis.

3. Technical Analysis

To improve the trading experience of its customers with services from the best providers, LCG collaborates with Trading Central to offer trading signals and advanced and professional technical analysis, particularly on the Forex market, stocks, indices or more raw materials. To take advantage of this service, all you need is a real, funded LCG trading account.

The broker explains that Trading Central allows you to benefit from numerousvantages like:

  • analytics to identify price direction and trend;
  • technical and mathematical indicators, as well as algorithms to better detect trading opportunities;
  • and signals based in particular on Japanese candlesticks to identify trend reversals.

4. How-to videos on trading for beginners and for advanced traders (not available in French)

These video aids allow all types of traders to discover, assimilate or review trading-related concepts to improve their performance.

The beginner level talks about, for example, common trading errors, the difference between fundamental analysis and technical analysis, the different types of charts or even certain important statistics such as GDP, CPI or NFP.

The advanced level is more about technical indicators such as MACD, Fibonacci, Moving Averages or even RSI, or trading techniques such as risk management, trend trading or trading during earnings seasons.

5. Trading Glossary (not available in French)

Like any trading glossary, the one offered by LCG defines the main concepts related to trading: the different markets, instruments, technical indicators, trading tools, concepts related to risk and money management, styles trading and more.

6. Webinars & Seminars (not available in French)

Although the health situation linked to Covid-19 has not made it possible to hold many trading seminars recently, webinars are easier to organize and make it possible to offer a kind of online trading class on a specific subject: techniques and trading strategy, major political event (like the US presidential election), money management, etc.

Can I Benefit from a Welcome Bonus with LCG?

No. LCG does not offer any welcome bonus to its new customers. However, there are other popular and serious brokers that offer bonuses on new deposits, including Vantage and FXPRIMUS.
While we have shown in our FXPRIMUS review that the broker does not offer its services to French traders, the review Vantage shows that the broker seems to be particularly popular with traders in France and around the world.

The Australian broker offers a welcome bonus of 50% on the first deposit for its new clients who want to open a Standard STP account. Without forgetting that for each standard lot traded, Vantage says transform 2 units of the bonus into cash that can be withdrawn.

LCG – Best Broker to Trade Stocks in 2025?

LCG is definitely one of the best brokers to trade stocks with leverage due to the variety of its offer.

The broker indeed offers CFDs on more than 4 stocks from different parts of the world: you can trade stocks from the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, France, Germany, Denmark, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, Austria, Finland, Portugal and Italy.

The majority of the fees charged for trading CFDs on stocks via LCG is 0,10%, except 0,12% for Italian stocks, 0,20% for stocks which are not linked to the SEAQ (Electronic Quotation System of the London Stock Exchange) and 0,25% for shares linked to the SEAQ.

Also worth noting is the trading of US stocks which is offered for 2 cents per share for US stocks under $50 per share or for 4 cents per share for US stocks over $50.

These conditions are similar to those offered by IG Markets except for stocks in the following countries: France, Germany, Ireland, Spain, Finland, the Netherlands and Portugal, where they seem to be more attractive at IG Markets: commissions of 0,05% per transaction.

LCG – Best Broker To Trade the Forex Market in 2025?

LCG offers a trading account with an execution mode called ECN or Electronic Communication Network to trade Forex.

Via this technology, LCG directly connects traders and its liquidity providers for faster order processing. Thus, the broker can offer spreads avantageux compared to other brokers that do not offer this type of trading account as shown in the table below. Alone Vantage seems to stand out in the Forex market with its ECN and STP accounts.

It is for this reason that many traders choose LCG's ECN account to trade Forex. Since there are other Forex brokers offering an interesting and similar offer to traders, we have compiled a comparison of the Forex spreads applied by several popular brokers:

Does LCG Offer a Demo Account?

The ECN trading account must constantly have a balance of £10. Clients wishing to take advantage of the broker's VIP services will have to invest €000.

What Payment Methods Does LCG Accept?
